Code of Honor: The Standards Men Set for Themselves
Create a code of honor for your life. Let it be difficult.
Aurelius Kadzius
A code of honor translates as a standard a man keeps for his actions and how he pursues his life's goals. In the beginning, men are told the standards to keep at home, school, the workforce, or the military. A first encounter with being held accountable for an exchange like shelter, work, wages, or education.
Setting the standard must begin with ourselves and move forward from there. Create one that is simple at first, something repeatable every day. It will look like a list of tasks, keeping the process of each job being completed at a high quality.
Start with three tasks that should be uncomfortable; we can all name three things we avoid doing that are good for us in the long term. Waking up early (Which I despise deeply), making your bed, and training for 45 minutes. Pick whatever your particular brand of soda is and begin.
Specifically, here, the discussion is about an honor code you keep for your own daily life. Keep in mind that this is a crawling stage, but even if a man crawls forward in a good direction, then we crawl. Crawl forward consistently.
Honor, like all things in life that men value, cannot be purchased; it is earned since it is earned; begin by building yours by consistently honoring your opportunity to be fully alive and be able to work, learn, train, and practice what you love.
