It’s a big world, and it’s not all rainbows and butterflies.

Now that the obvious was stated, here is something that is not so obvious: Where does discipline begin? It takes discipline of the mind to keep an optimistic vision while knowing the first statement is not any less true. 

If a man can do both, he will know how to balance out the reality of the world and keep the faith that he is capable of changing himself into a better man, and in doing so, he creates a better world.

Discipline begins in the mind, with a man’s thoughts about what he is, where he will find how weak his mind is or is not. 

Discipline your mind; before you do so, know how to think and what you think. That’s very different than what you feel. Think first.
