The lie of underachievement is too quickly excepted by men, including me. A gift is knowing precisely what you want and how you want to live. Seeing your abilities and being content to do nothing with them can drive a man into a silent madness of stillness. 

The silence is the acceptance of it, and the stillness is not meditation. It is the conceit of a slow death. A choice made by the man and his excuse is the inconvenience of the current time. 

There are no more things to discuss, no more things to plan, all out of inconvenience. No more time to mark the milestones. All the roses have been smelled, and the sands of time are running through the fingers of your closed fist.  

Trying is all that is left.
