A Man Dies, The World Moves Forward
A man dies, good or bad, and the world moves forward.
Aurelius Kadzius
There is little to remember and a lot to forget. The impact we will leave will be vast, so we tell ourselves. When they move your body from the fridge to an urn or coffin, there will be nothing but a closet full of garbage you collected.
Things are only important to you.
Some will morn; some will not even know until they hear it from the grapevine. It is neither good nor bad but accurate; actual details should be included. The hard truth of family and friends rummaging through the private things that are no longer yours or personal.
No one wants them, but the uneasy feeling of touching another man's things still exists, even if they no longer do.
To donate your belongings or to give them away to those who knew you.
The sun still rises and sets. When men remember you, the best you can hope for is that a smile spreads across their faces and that they saw you as a friend.
