A Man’s Story Becomes His Legacy

A man's story about his life turns out to be his life. The story of who we are, what we are, and the parts we play in others' lives, becomes vital in how our memory lives on in others' minds. 

I have and do still know men I admire and their stories of struggles overcome and current pursuits of success. We must know men like these in our lives. Reading about men of the past is an excellent start to understanding the struggles they faced then. 

Having men around you who are in the trenches now, and are fighting through it, will make it more tangible for us to stay facing our own and gutting it out. To face it, the chaos of it, no matter what it is, will create a story perhaps that will be mythical.

You will die, and younger men will speak about who you were and how you faced it and fought your way through it. Paying it forward for others who may be standing in the same trench you were long ago.
