It’s simple: You have a calling. A calling is a skill or mission you are drawn to pursue without any reasonable explanation as to why it is crucial for you to move in its direction. 

You may not even be able to rationally explain it to yourself. It may be unrealistic. It might as well be a pipe dream, but regardless, that thing is there: the idea of being great at it, the desire to study, practice, read books, and learn who the greats in history were at it. 

It springs vital waters in your mind and body and wakes and shakes up the spirit of a man. You are excited to begin again where you left off the night prior. 

It’s a good and fragile thing, and if you can do anything better than the day prior, lean into it more today, and do not turn your back on anything that keeps you waking up with vigor to live.
