The heart breaks because the growth stops of a man who could have been more if he had made that choice. I know that men from similar backgrounds and situations still lived well and created a home for themselves not of lavish comfort but a content living.

It has been said that discontent and contentment in life is a choice, as to what men think they need to be content and what they truly need in life and from life are all left for us to choose. It is those choices that propel us forward or leave us marking time. 

Philosophers have said that not making a choice is making a choice. It could be if you are gaining knowledge while staying static. During your time of no motion, you are building your skills and comprehension to prepare yourself to make a move with a sound strategy. 

However, if you are static and time moves on and you are neither more intelligent nor stronger and build no new wealth. What was it all for?
