Follow through

If you look at yourself and see that you have few male friends or brotherhood-like bonds in your circle, you may be the cause, and the reason may be that your words do not match your actions.

It is a throwback to say that a man is only as good as his word. Many men may think this phrase carries no water, but when men enter a small community, working in close quarters day in and day out, you learn who is a man of follow through and who is not. You cannot hide from anyone, you will see them tomorrow.

If you are perceived negatively due to a lack of trust because of your actions, the battle to fight out that perception will be difficult. The responsibility to change that perception is on that is.

In a place where working with men is a daily occurrence, where trust, accountability, and respect have to be seen in action form, it will be a vicious battle to regain it. 

To lose it, it only takes an instant. To recapture can take longer then men think. Close bonds require it. Do your best not to tarnish your word among those you have to live and work with daily.
