The Price of a Soul

What will profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? 

Mark 8:36

The idea of putting your soul up for sale in exchange for control of the world sounds like a myth or a Hollywood film or a reaction of a sigh and an eye roll because it comes off as a dramatic exaggeration. Still, history shows that many men have tried, and some came closer than others. 

Many men of history have sold pieces of themselves for opportunity or to be on the potential path to rule the world. 

To sell parts of his honor, loyalty, morality, strength, and price is not always evident until the transaction has been made.

There shouldn't be a price for something with a value that cannot even be understood in the physical world we live and die in. However, many speak of it as if there is, and it is up for sale. 

It is up for the highest bidder. When you are the product, you must choose if the offer is worth it. Short term, it seems to be how to snare is set; long term, you will be ashamed and perhaps even trapped. 

There you will have no peace and no rest; wonder why? Everything has a price. Let it be known your soul is not on the market.
