The Unspoken Thing

The unspoken thing is that many men are waiting to die.

If not eager for death, we can complacently wait for it to happen while we do little to nothing, or we might take action and move into the dangerous work and roles that still exist in this world.

Nothing like a bit of sketching work in a sketchy place with a capable group of men. Everything is tuned up to a higher level, from banter to laughter to enjoying training. Suddenly, the purpose is as clear as the stars in the night sky in the high desert: survive.

Perhaps subconsciously looking to know and see how close a man can get to death and slip through its cold, callused grip.

It may be that men need the pain, something to endure and overcome, to wake out of bed with an energy of excitement to know something will try to break you, your spirit, your mind, your body, and you will fight. You will fight because dying is already at the end of our timeline.
