Value and Choice
A man chooses what he believes to be of value. Choose wisely.
Aurelius Kadzius
Men give value to things, actions, work, training, friends, brother's careers, currency, and lovers.
Even the value of the skills other men have mastered is measured by other men and compensated through various means of payment, promotions in position, and rank.
It is not a small matter to discard one thing as useless and another as useful, to say one skill is good and the other is worthless.
As societies develop, soft skills grow in value, while hard skills are viewed as throwbacks to old ways that are no longer needed by the "civilized society."
We like to believe we are more civilized than we are. That is for another time.
This becomes important when deciding how your time should be divided and doing what. Where should your focus go today?
Which task, work, study, person, friend, or family should you share your time and energy with? It is your most valuable and limited asset in this life as you live it, time. Choose wisely.
