Beyond the Illusion of Being “Good”

Never been accused of being a good man. 

It was never thought about once the boy died and the man manifested. Not once was it on the table to be discussed; Have you ever heard a man call himself "Good" or a "good man"? 

The eyes of the men around you would squint, and their faces would be that of men who smell the dog shit someone stepped on. 

Looking in the direction of the shit covered heal. Men who speak like this have already sealed their fate within the group; the integrity violator has been established.

Good is meant as a whole, not separate from one part of life or only apply to another, a complete life timeline. 

There is no cherry-picking out in the timeline of life a man lives to establish what parts you were good and virtuous at and what parts being a man of good character was inconvenient at the time. 

The word good encompasses all three existence of a man. Past, present, and future.
